The Space Shuttle Discovery was flown to Dulles atop a modified NASA 747 on April 17, 2012. It was delivered to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum two days later. Then on April 27, the Space Shuttle Enterprise departed from Dulles to New York on the same NASA 747 for delivery to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Musuem.
