The Italian air carrier begins nonstop service between Dulles and Rome in June 2023
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced Thursday that ITA Airways will commence new, nonstop service between Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) on June 2, 2023. Flights will initially operate five times a week before shifting to daily service on August 1, 2023. Passengers on this new route will travel aboard Airbus A330-neo aircraft.
“Dulles International Airport welcomes ITA Airways to the Washington, D.C., region,” said Airports Authority Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Chryssa Westerlund. “With a direct link between the capital cities of the United States and Italy, travelers on both sides of the Atlantic will have more access to family-friendly vacation options, as well as vibrant and thriving business opportunities.”
ITA Airways’ new route to Washington, D.C., will become one of five U.S. gateways for the Italian carrier. Flights can be purchased now by visiting https://www.ita-airways.com/en_us/.
