Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is proud to announce that United Airlines will add two daily nonstop flights to Fort Myers (RSW) and Sarasota (SRQ), Florida, beginning October 27, 2019, providing new options when traveling between the U.S. Capital Region and Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Sarasota is a city south of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the winter home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Today, it hosts a number of cultural institutes, notably the Ringling Museum of Art, which showcases old masters and modern art. It’s also the gateway to miles of beaches with fine sand and shallow waters, such as Lido Beach and Siesta Key Beach.
Fort Myers is popular for its beaches, fishing, shopping. You and your family can experience one-on-one natural encounters, play on top-notch Fort Myers beaches and treat yourselves to endless family-friendly attractions, restaurants and resorts in Fort Myers and surrounding areas along southwest Florida’s sunny Gulf Coast.
These are the two latest in new air service routes from Dulles International in 2019, which saw passenger activity increase by more than 5 percent in 2018. With the addition of these two new air service routes, United Airlines, a STAR Alliance partner, will operate up to 266 daily departures to 118 nonstop destinations from Dulles International in 2019.
