This month we recognize Denise, a valuable member of the Dulles International Airport Administration team since January 2024. 

Denise brings a wealth of experience to her role, having previously served as the Director of Property Management at the Virgin Islands Port Authority. She holds an MBA from the University of Virgin Islands and has quickly made an impact at Dulles International Airport by collaborating with COTRS to identify contractor space requirements, ensuring compliance, and generating additional revenue.

In her 14 months here, Denise has processed over 50 new license agreements, worked diligently to address contractor space needs—especially as construction around Concourse E progresses—and continues to reconcile tenant spaces. She also facilitates the communications room inspection project with great attention to detail.

Denise is known for her approachable nature, always tackling tasks with a smile and building strong relationships across departments. We’re lucky to have her on our team!

The only museum solely dedicated to championing women through the arts has reopened its doors with improved interior and exterior spaces, new mechanical systems, enhanced amenities and accessibility, enlarged gallery space and additional research and education space.

Explore the powerful societal impact of local hero, educator and reformer Mary McLeod Bethune at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The exhibit space focuses on Bethune’s incredible work with the National Council of Negro Women as well as the contributions of other women who have fought for social change.

Celebrate Women's History Day with the Portrait Gallery! Join all day for activities throughout the museum's galleries. Inspired by the portraits of women in the museum’s collection, the celebration is a chance to learn, reflect and enjoy with art activities, meditation, recipe swaps, story times, guided curator tours and much more! This event is for all ages.
